If I Had a Million Dollars

Sienna saw this play kitchen at Toys R Us this week. We wanted to buy it for her; she loved it! Unfortunately, the kitchen was $250!? We could have bought it for her but we decided to have real groceries instead. Decisions, decisions.

Fashion Faux Pas

Tuesday morning, Sienna insisted on wearing her sandals with her pajama's. Stacy & Clinton would be so disappointed.

Even more disturbing than the shoe/PJ combo...

...I believe she is cooking her baby doll.

Sunday

The Zoo!!!

It was a the weather was perfect today so we decided to take Sienna to the National Zoo for the first time. She loved toddling around the walkways and stepping up and down on curbs, but she didn't really care about the animals too much. In her defense, the animals were pretty far away so trying to pointing out animals that were purposefully blending into their environment was a little tricky.

She saw some sish (fish), a ssssssssss (snake) and a moo (cow). (There is a barn animal section of the zoo, just to clarify.)  She did point out what she thought was a woof woof but it turned out to be a lion. Maybe she isn't quite ready for the zoo, but we had a good time anyway. We need to go back because we didn't get to all of the exhibits. That's the beauty of the National Zoo! It's only about 25 minutes away and free! So we'll have to go back soon to see the rest of the animals. She should be able to see the elephants no matter how far away we are standing...

We didn't take any animal shots, but here are a few cute pics of her walking on a stone ledge (with Daddy standing right next to her). Of course she couldn't walk on the ground like everyone else. She had to be 3 feet in the air standing on uneven slabs of rock...

(Thanks for the adorable dress, Kelly, Logan, River & Mason - It finally fits her!) :)

Summertime!

Sienna loves the water and she loves being "ahhh-side" (outside), so we bought her a Arctic Splash Water Table.

Perfect, right? I could actually sit and watch her play instead of chase her around.
Ahhh - when will I ever learn...?

No rest for me - she insists on sitting IN the water table. So I must stand next to her to make sure she doesn't stand up or fall off of it.

This requires several diaper and swim diapers changes as well as outfit changes and towels. To complicate matters, our washer & dryer are unhooked because our bathroom & laundry room are under construction. Oh my. At least she's having fun, right?

Happy 4th of July - from our Lil Sparkler...

Beach Week '09

It was sort of last minute, but I got to go to Beach Week in Myrtle Beach with 450 students our youth ministry last week. It was SO great. I have gone 4 other times, but last year Sienna was too little to leave behind. This year Sienna stayed home with Daddy & I got to hang out with hundreds of teenagers. Below are the girls from my room... :) Aren't they fun?

It's hard to explain how amazing the trip was, but the important thing that you need to know is what Laminin is. If you have 10 minutes, check out this video!

So I got back last Sunday, and I am STILL exhausted. At beach week you never go to sleep before 2 am. It reminds me of college. Therefore, Monday was a little challenging, particularly since Sienna was NOT tired. Maybe she was so excited to see Mama that she didn't nap at all? (It also might have been related to Daddy's non-scheduled naps while I was gone, lol.) So I took her to the park and I tried to remain awake to entertain her until dinnertime. There is a little park about 10 minutes from our house that has a small playground with tiny little slides and baby swings. Here she is on the swings - she loves saying "wooooooo" the whole time....

Doesn't she have the most perfect little face? I might be biased... :)
