Shoppin'

Today I was wasting time at the mall while the car was getting an oil change & I was looking around H&M. I saw Sienna in a mirror (who was sitting in her stroller and therefore facing away me) and this is what I saw...

She had grabbed the sunglasses off of a rack at some point and decided she was going to wear them. Of course, I had to put them back before we left the store & she was really upset that I had to take them away. I understand - they were really cute.

Tuesday

Monday

Nicholas' Graduation!

My cousin Nicholas graduated from High School (Woohoo - Congrats, Nicholas!) a little over a week ago and Sienna and I were able to go down to Charlotte with my parents. We had a great time, but as usual, we wished Daniel could have come. :(  Maybe next time...

Uncle Joe met us down in Charlotte which is always fun. He loves Sienna even though she is definitly an anti-guys phase. It took practically the whole weekend for her to warm up (barely) to my uncles and Matthew and Nicholas, but even so, I was able to get a picture of Sienna, Uncle Joe & her pink monkey. It seems that every time I take a picture of Sienna and Uncle Joe together, her pink monkey is in the picture too. We decided it will be a tradition, so we got another one this weekend. Here is one this weekend and then another one from about a year ago.

On Friday we attended Nicholas' graduation and a family grad party and on Saturday we got to "Taste of Charlotte." We didn't plan on going to Taste of Charlotte, but the place we were visiting was closed for renovations. We passed the street where the fair started and thought we would check it out. It was a lot of fun, except for one critical thing - we didn't bring a stroller. That made things a little more difficult. If you read my last blog, Sienna's favorite thing right now is to "wrrrook" (walk) so she was a little peeved that I wouldn't let her walk through the crowds. However, after a bit she relaxed and just watched everything that was going on.

One of the restaurants represented was Caffe Siena, so I had to stop to take a picture, of course... :)

We stopped for lunch at Mert's Heart  & Soul for lunch - delicious!

A blurry photo of Sienna & Lindsay, but I like it anyway.

We also went swimming and I took Sienna on her first trampoline. Grandpa has some of those pictures but I haven't seen them yet. I also need to post some of our family shots - Grandpa? Can you send some? :)

We had a great time - Thanks for having us, Uncle Steve, Aunt Linda, Nicholas, Matthew & Lindsay! Oh, and thanks to you, Deuce, for providing ongoing opportunities to say "Woof Woof" :)

Finally - An update!

Once again, I have gotten behind and I can't even decide where to start. A good beginning point is always a Sienna Bed Head. I think when her hair gets this big, she might need to move to Texas...

Sienna has magically turned into a little girl. She is running, talking and having some really fun tantrums. Ok, the talking and running is fun. The latter is less desirable. If she doesn't have her way, she runs around the room fake crying and eventually she throws herself on the couch cushion or the carpet. We were recently at our friend's community pool and Sienna was really upset because I wouldn't let her eat her lunch IN the pool. So she ran around the edge of the baby pool area fake crying and looking for a place to throw a tantrum without hurting herself. She ran around for a good few minutes without a good tantrum spot and eventually she seemed to forget why she was running around crying so she just went back into the pool. We do this a few times each visit to the pool. I am surprised we have been invited back. Thank you, Young's!

Most babies switch to a convertable car seat when the baby is one year old or 20 lbs. Sienna is little munchkin, so we just now got her a new carseat. The old one is still being used because apparently it can double as a jungle gym.

As usual, Sienna is a lot of fun and she has a lot to say. She can say about 20 or so words, and even though they don't sound exactly how WE say it, we are getting used to her favorites. She says "Ball" and "Bob" about 45 days a day. She loves throwing, chasing and kicking balls. She also is obsessed with her "Veggie Tales" DVD where the main character is a tomato named Bob. She loves going outside so she likes to say "Outside Wrrrook" (Decoded: Outside Walk) so she can play outside.  Every pool of water is a "bath". Britney is "Woof Woff". She loves saying "Eye" while she pokes her finger into your cornea. She is an extravert and when we take her to the Church nursery she runs away from us and into the play area with the other kids.  She loves giving us kisses, which are the BEST. They might be "drooly", but hey - we take what we can get. Here she is getting a kissy from her friend Emma :) Aren't they sweet?

We've been busy, so stay tuned - more to come! :)
